Princely Palace of Monaco

Reception of His Holiness Pope Leo XIV by Their Serene Highnesses Prince Albert II and Princess Charlène. 
Bilateral meeting between H.S.H. the Prince and H.H. the Pope, exchange of gifts and official photographs. 

  • Place du Palais : access reserved for Monegasques and residents, from 7.00 am (last entry at 8.30 am). Entry will be subject to the presentation of a wristband and proof of identity. For details on how to collect wristbands, please see the Attending the visit section.
  • Le Rocher (the Palace district) will remain open to all, allowing the public to gather and watch the Holy Father’s arrival. A giant screen on the forecourt of the Oceanographic Museum will broadcast all the highlights of the apostolic visit.

Princely Palace of Monaco

The Holy Father, Their Serene Highnesses Prince Albert II and Princess Charlène, Hereditary Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella will take to the balcony of the Prince’s Palace, where: 

  • The Sovereign Prince will deliver a solemn address, 
  • His Holiness the Pope will address the faithful gathered in the Place du Palais and impart his apostolic blessing upon them. 

The Holy Father will leave the Prince’s Palace in the Popemobile to proceed to the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception in Monaco, allowing the public to greet His Holiness in the streets of the Rock. For details of the route, please see the section The Popemobile Route

  • Place du Palais (SOLD-OUT) : access reserved for Monegasques and residents, from 7.00 am (last entry at 8.30 am). Entry will be subject to the presentation of a wristband and proof of identity. For details on how to collect wristbands, please see the Attending the visit section.

Monaco Cathedral

A prayer from the Liturgy of the Hours will be celebrated at Monaco Cathedral, in the form of the Office of Sext, during which His Holiness Pope Leo XIV will deliver a homily. 

This celebration, presided over by the Holy Father, will bring together representatives of the Principality’s church communities.

Le Rocher (the Palace district) will remain open to all, allowing the public to gather and witness the Holy Father’s arrival and his procession in the Popemobile. A giant screen located on the forecourt of the Oceanographic Museum will broadcast all the highlightsPope Leo XIV will leave the Cathedral in the Popemobile to proceed to the Church of Sainte-Dévote, allowing the public to greet His Holiness in the streets of Monaco. Church of Sainte-Dévote

An opportunity for dialogue and fellowship with young people and catechumens. 
A time of prayer will be held upon the arrival of His Holiness the Pope, followed by an address by the Holy Father to the faithful. 

Two giant screens located on the forecourt of the Church of Sainte-Dévote will allow the public to gather and watch all the highlights of the day. 

Pope Leo XIV will leave the Church of Sainte-Dévote in the Popemobile, allowing the public to greet His Holiness in the streets of Monaco. For details of the route, please see the section The Popemobile Route

Louis II Stadium – Monaco

Eucharistic celebration presided over by the Holy Father, Pope Leo XIV. This Mass will be celebrated according to the liturgy for the Saturday of the 5th week of Lent and will bring together the faithful of the Principality as well as pilgrims who have come to take part in this gathering of prayer and communion with the Successor of Peter.


Admission by prior registration.

The faithful wishing to take part in this celebration must register before the event. Participation is subject to availability.
The registration platform will open shortly. 

The public is invited to come to the Stade Louis-II from 12.00 pm for spiritual preparation (doors close at 2.00 pm).
