Arriving by car

Please note that public transport is strongly recommended on 28 March.

Visitors arriving by car are strongly advised to enter the Principality from the West, via the Jardin Exotique area, and to park in the large-capacity Salines car park (1,790 spaces):

Once this car park is full, motorists will be redirected by the Police to nearby public car parks:

Visitors arriving from the West of Monaco via the Basse Corniche are advised to park at Saint-Antoine car park: View Waze route

Visitors arriving from the East of the Principality must reach the western entrance to the city via the Moyenne Corniche (approximately 10 minutes by car).

In order to manage traffic flow, the eastern entrance to Monaco will be reserved for commuters and participants attending AMWC Monaco. They are therefore advised to park in one of the six car parks in the Larvotto area:

Please note:

  • the Stade Louis II car park will be closed from Thursday 26 March at midnight;
  • the Visitation, Abbaye, Écoles and Heliport car parks will also be closed on 28 March;
  • the Papalins, Port, Condamine, Place d’Armes, Athena, Plati, Saint-Nicolas, La Colle, Charles III and Industries car parks will be reserved for authorised users and subscribers.

Chartered Coaches for Attendees

Any coach transporting attendees wishing to attend the Apostolic Visit of His Holiness Pope Leon XIV to Monaco must MANDATORILY submit a request before 25 March 2026 to the Public Parking Directorate of the Principality via: spp@gouv.mc.

Coaches without prior request will not be allowed to enter the Principality.

Requests will be processed in order of receipt, and authorisations issued according to three categories:

  • Parking in Monaco: The driver may drop off passengers at the Salines car park (located at the western entrance of the Principality) and then park in a dedicated space, or drop passengers directly at the parking site.
  • Parking at Allianz Riviera, Nice: The driver must drop passengers at the Salines car park and then park at the Nice stadium (Boulevard des Jardiniers, 06200 Nice).
  • Parking at Saint-Augustin, Nice: The driver cannot access Monaco and must drop passengers at the Saint-Augustin train station car park (1 route de Grenoble, 06200 Nice). Passengers will then take the train to reach the Principality ( Click here for Monaco rail connections).

On Saturday 28 March, every coach in category 1 or 2 must pass through the Salines bus station for regulation, displaying the reservation slip issued by the Public Parking Directorate, indicating access category and reservation number. Coaches in category 3 must also display their reservation slip on the windscreen.

After the event, passengers will be collected by their coach at the drop-off location, either a parking space in Monaco (category 1), Salines car park (categories 1 or 2), or Saint-Augustin car park, Nice (category 3).

Free transfers will be provided via the Monaco Bus Company throughout the Principality, with dedicated shuttles to and from the Salines car park ( Click here for intracity bus network details).

The extensive mechanical and pedestrian network will also allow attendees to reach all event locations on foot (notably from the Salines car park).
