What impact can you expect on your travel plans?

Road traffic

On 28 March, the Principality will operate under a “Grand Prix-style” configuration, with part of the city secured, particularly in the districts of Monaco-Ville, La Condamine and Fontvieille. Some roads will be closed or adapted (one-way reversals, etc.) from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

From 24 March at 11 p.m. to 2 April at 8 p.m.:

  • throughout the entire two-wheeler parking area located between Avenue des Castelans and Boulevard Albert II;
  • Place de la Mairie, across the entire two-wheeler parking area.

From 26 March at 6 a.m. to 30 March at 8 p.m.:

  • Avenue de Grande-Bretagne, between its junction with Boulevard du Larvotto and No. 30.

From 26 March at 8 a.m. to 30 March at 8 p.m.:

  • Avenue de l’Annonciade.

From 26 March at 12 p.m. to 30 March at 8 p.m.:

  • Rue Suffren Reymond.

From 26 March at 11 p.m. to 28 March at 8 p.m.:

  • Rue Princesse Antoinette;
  • Rue Louis Notari;
  • Boulevard Albert I;
  • Place d’Armes;
  • Avenue Albert II;
  • Quai Antoine I;

Pedestrian movement

For safety reasons, pedestrian crossings will be prohibited at designated crossings during the passage of the Popemobile.

CAM urban bus services

On 28 March, buses operated by the Compagnie des Autobus de Monaco will be free of charge.

The network will also be reinforced and adapted for the event, including the introduction of special routes (S1, S2 and SX), as follows:

  • Routes 1, 2, X1, X2 and X3: not in service.
  • Route 3 / Fontvieille <> Hector Otto (every 14 minutes):

Note: this special service, chartered for the occasion and reserved for passengers wearing a wristband, will operate within a secured perimeter, which will involve checks (searches) of authorised passengers.
